5.93 MILLION EUROS PER YEAR: RPTU SIGNS TARGET AGREEMENT FOR THE NEW RESEARCH INITIATIVE RHINELAND-PALATINATE

The University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU) and Minister of Science Clemens Hoch have signed the target agreement of the new Rhineland-Palatinate Research Initiative. Until 2028, the RPTU will receive 5.93 million euros annually to further expand its research activities.

ALMOST 4 MILLION EURO FOR A COMPETENCE CENTER FOR THE INNOVATIVE CIRCULAR ECONOMY

The RPTU Chair of Entrepreneurship, together with partners from the University of the Saar-Lor-Lux Greater Region, has acquired EU funding of almost four million euros over four years for a competence center for an innovative circular economy. The project is part of the “Interreg Greater Region 2021-2027” program and connects knowledge and resources in the Greater Region and beyond.

FOCUS ON CARCINOGENIC EFFECTS OF PROCESSED RED MEAT: RPTU RESEARCHER RECEIVES EMMY NOETHER FUNDING

The RPTU researcher Dr. Tina Kostka will receive up to 1.8 million euros from the Emmy Noether Program of the German Research Foundation (DFG) to set up a junior research group in the Department of Chemistry. There, she wants to use her research into the underlying mechanisms of the toxicity of processed red meat to investigate the possible connection to the development of colon cancer.
