With 28 out of a total of 30 points, the High-Performance Centre Simulation and Software-based Innovation once again took first place in this year’s ranking of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft’s 21 High-Performance Centres. It shows that the close co-operation between university and non-university research leads to outstanding results in Kaiserslautern.

The leading robotics locations in Germany founded the Robotics Institute Germany (RIG) on July 1, 2024. The aim is to establish a central contact point for robotics in Germany. Dr. Denis Alt, State Secretary in the Ministry of Science and Health, has presented the Leibniz-Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe GmbH (IVW) with a grant of 869,706 euros. In the funded “HydroBear” project, the institute will develop a new type of pressurized storage tank for hydrogen over the next three years.

The students of the Virtual Design course have brought a whole set of medals home to Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences from the ADC Talent Award. There were two gold medals for “Exit” in the Film category and silver and bronze for “South Australian” in the Spatial Experience category.
